Our annual Old Timers' Party for December of 2002 was a big hit. For the first time in many years, the Old Timers gathered at "home" in our warm and comfortable union hall.

Union officials, active firefighters, and SAFD chief administrators were on hand to honor and serve our Old Timers. It was good to see so many of our veterans return in such good health and spirits; it was good to hear once again the favorite war stories and put out the fires on all those old San Antonio buildings once again.

The food and drink were great, but the fellowship . . . it was heartwarming and wonderful.
