. . . and a new effort. While we could savor the successes of the past, all are optimistic about the challenges and promises of the future. Local 624 officials began a new and fitting tradition when they presented Outgoing President George Suther with the first ever Local 624 president's ring honoring him for his many years of effort and service. Incoming President Alex Guzman was likewise presented a president's ring engraved with his start date of service reminding him of our trust and commitment to him.

The president's ring represents the beginning of another fine tradition that reminds us all of the solidarity and common vision of firefighters, as well as our commitment and responsibility one one another in this grand Association. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, George and Alex, and thanks to your families for sharing you with us.
